Nadia Sumlar, Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Pony Express for 2019-2020, is a senior at Center Hill High School and has been on the newspaper staff since freshman year. An A-B honor roll student, she enjoys writing album and music reviews for The Pony Express and also writes for inkstained, the school’s literary magazine. She enjoys K-pop, online shopping, poetry, and hanging out with her friends. In the fall of 2020, she plans to attend Delta State University and major in biology.

At a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest June 6 in front of the Olive Branch City Hall, protesters kneeled on the ground for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the amount of time Derek Chauvin pinned George Floyd to the ground.
