16 CHHS teachers to be awarded grants

Sixteen teachers from Center Hill High School will be recognized Thursday, Nov. 3 as Foundation for Excellence in Education grant winners. Each will receive up to $500 to fulfill their grant requests.
“We had by far the most in the county,” Principal Doug Payne said.
CHHS grant recipients include: Jennifer Blalock, Toni Coleman, Jennifer Denham, Jacob Faust, Neil Frederic, Bruce Hall, Brian Hancock, Christopher Harris, Case Ingram, Brian Parker, Trudy Peden, Angel Pilcher, Bradley Stevens,

Judith Terry, James Whitaker and Jacqueline Wooten.
The Foundation for Excellence in Education, run by the DeSoto Economic Council, awarded more than $77,000 in grants to 175 teachers in DeSoto County this year.
