On Wednesday, November 29th, Center Hill High School’s student council held its annual Christmas Tree decorating party. Mustangs were invited to stay after school to help decorate the tree, set up in the commons.
Several clubs created themed-ornaments to hang for the event, like Mustang TV‘s camera and Pony Express‘s newspaper snowflake. Earlier in the month, Art Society hosted a meeting where members created and designed their own ornaments to hang on the tree.
Clubs weren’t the only groups involved. Athletics also got in on the action, supplying ornaments resembling sports equipment such as footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, baseballs, and more.
Students didn’t have to be in a club or sport to participate, however. All students were invited to join in the festivities. Throughout the event, Mustangs could pick out ornaments from years past and place them on the tree where they saw fit. To reach the top of the tree, assistant principal Brenda Case stood on a ladder and hung ornaments chosen by the students.
Matching the holiday theme, student council provided free cookies, milk, and soda for students to enjoy as they bonded over the annual tradition.
