A member of The Pony Express since 2018, Shelby Parsons was the newspaper's editor as a junior and returns to the leadership role for her senior year. Outside of The Pony Express, she’s involved in many different extracurriculars such as choir, Interact club, Writing Club, FCS, Photography Club, inkstained literary magazine and the ACT 30+ Club. She plans to study journalism and political science in college.

Beginning Sept. 25, all DeSoto County Schools students will be dismissed from school on Fridays two hours and 15 minutes early. The new 70% Fridays were implemented to give teachers more planning time due to the challenges of virtual learning.
