Young leaders stand out as those who aspire to be above the norm. Taking on the responsibility of being a class officer can be a challenging role. However, these motivated students are eager to make a difference and represent the sophomore class. Here’s an inside look at this year’s officers:
President Savannah Steen.
This is Savannah’s second year as President of her class. She is also the Vice President of the Beta Club, as well as a member of the six-time state champion Dance team. Ms. Steen challenges herself to be as involved as possible by representing Student Council, FCCLA, and FCS. Known for her outstanding academic abilities, Savannah finds the perfect balance between grades and extracurricular activities. She extremely excited to see the great additions each officer is going to contribute to the sophomore class this year.
Vice President Auston McMullen.
Even though this is Auston’s first year in office, it will definitely not be his last. Auston is dedicated to use his fresh ideas to benefit the sophomore class. He is also a student-athlete who plays for the beloved football team. His enthusiasm and charisma will undoubtedly make a prominent addition to the officer team.
Treasurer Morgan Atkins.
Returning Treasurer, Morgan Atkins, is an exceptional well-rounded student. Beta Club, Student Council, Select Women’s Choir, and soccer are just a few activities that she is involved in. When asked why she wanted to run for Treasurer, she responded “I’m really good at budgeting and want to make sure our class has the funds to have the best senior year.” Despite the late election, Morgan is confident about the great things they have planned this year.
Secretary Flannery Egner.
This is Flannery’s second year of being the secretary of the sophomore class. Flannery is a part of the swim team, Diamond Girls, Interact, Beta, FCCLA, and several more. She also works at Hollywood Feed and is a billing assistant at Professional Healthcare Management (PHM). Ms. Egner wanted to bring her “new ideas to benefit the sophomore class.” She also is an expert note-taker who strives to go “above and beyond” for her class.
Reporter Madalyn Sloan.
Madalyn loves being involved and communicating with her fellow classmates. She is a member of Student Council, FCCLA, Yearbook, Beta, and the Interact Board. Ms. Sloan wants to take the sophomore class to the next level and ensure that everyone is engaged in the sophomore fundraisers and festivities.
