Both CHHS volleyball teams faced a quick loss in their first home game of the 2024-2025 season against Hernando High School, who placed 3rd in MHSAA Class 7A Region 1 last year. The JV team, unfortunately, lost the first two sets with scores of 25-19 and 25-10. The varsity team ended the night with scores of 25-14, 25-17, and 25-19.
Although the Lady Mustangs faced a challenging opponent, the players expressed disappointment in their own performance. “I think I played like a two maybe three out of ten tonight […] Definitely need to work on my arm swing,” explained junior Ella Richardson (#10).
The volleyball team will be taking on the Lewisburg Patriots this Tuesday, August 13th, in Olive Branch.
