Center Hill’s drama department performed their take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th, and it was nothing less than spectacular. From the amazing sets done by Mrs. Clayton’s AP Art class, to the hilarious interactions between the characters, the whole production was extremely impressive.

Mrs. Frederick’s actors effectively delivered their long pieces of dialogue without losing the attention of the audience. In addition to the flawless performance, the special effects mesmerized the audience.

One of the funniest moments (special effect) of the show was when the evil queen, played by Haley Parker, took a potion to transform into an old peddler, played by Jayla Isom; a switch, which they performed perfectly.

The Witch Hex, played by Alicia McKinney, was another unbelievable piece of magic on stage. The sickly green makeup and prosthetic nose and chin used to create the Witch Hex’s persona were incredibly believable. One wonders how long it took to create the Witch and then take it all off.

It is hard to determine who stole the show: Snow White (Taylor Brasel) the Evil Queen (Haley Parker), Quee (Chase Walters), Berthold the Huntsman (Jake Bourne), special effects, or stage props, but the show certainly was entertaining and engaging to the entire audience.
