Three tried and true shows to tide you over while waiting for season two

While everyone else is waiting for the second season of “Bridgerton,” “Big Mouth” and “Outer Banks,” do I have a show for you!

If you want a more at-home, relatable kind of teen drama, you can watch all 14 seasons of  “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” This is one of my favorite shows of all time and I watch it at least once every year. It took me a bit to finish “Degrassi” since there are so many seasons, but the episodes are really short, ranging from 25 to 30 minutes. The whole show is free on YouTube, or you can download the free streaming app, Tubi.

“Degrassi” was the start of one of the biggest stars of our time. Drake was the reason I started watching “Degrassi,” but the show is much more than having one famous person in it. The show is Canadian and talked about a lot of things most teen dramas were afraid to speak about during its prime.

There’s plenty of spinoffs of “Degrassi: TNG” and you can all find them on YouTube with a quick search. I don’t think you can find the latest spinoff on YouTube, but it is on Netflix as “Degrassi: Next Class,” which is about the last two graduating classes from the previous show.

You don’t want to waste your time remembering where you left off because you have bad time management? Then you can watch the ABC original, “Lost.” This show is about the survivors of a plane crash who were brought together by fate. There are six seasons and the episodes are a little longer, lasting about 40-50 minutes. You can watch “Lost” on Hulu or Amazon Prime.

“Lost” is more of an older show and long past its TV prime. It first aired in 2004 and ended in 2010. The show was one of the many starting points of Ian Somerhalder, Damon Salvatore from “Vampire Diaries.”

If “Degrassi” and “Lost” don’t interest you at all, then I have one more suggestion. “Euphoria” is an HBO original about high school students and what really goes on behind the scenes with some of the kids you might go to school with. They really go in on some of the high school stereotypes, but either way it’s amazing and you should watch it.

I personally have seen “Euphoria” like 100 times since there’s only one season, and it’s only available on HBO Max. It is a little racy, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen or heard before. There’s eight episodes and each one is about an hour long. Also, Zendaya is in “Euphoria,” so why wouldn’t you watch it?

Am I passionate about these shows? Absolutely, and I would recommend them to anyone who asks.
