This is Josh Barnett’s first year coaching the swim team at Center Hill High School.

“This is a young team, but they’re improving every day, every practice which looks very bright,” said Barnett, who is also the assistant girls basketball coach.

There are currently 16 members of the CHHS swim team, with six upperclassmen and 10 freshmen.

At the Aug. 12 meet, Taylor Williams placed first in the 100 yards and 50-yard freestyle. Spencer Shannon placed fifth in the 50-yard freestyle. The team also competed Sept. 12 in Tupelo.
