As the players prepare themselves for Friday Night Lights, so do the fans. Many believe Center Hill High School has the best fans in DeSoto County.
“Their school spirit, pride and energy make every game, win or lose, a memorable experience,” junior Madison Brandon said.
Known as the Insane Stangs, the fans are in charge of creating the themes and hosting tailgates before home games. Tailgating has become a tradition for them, and this year they want to draw an even larger crowd.
“Tailgating before a Friday night game at CHHS is one unlike any other,” said Josh Asmus, a junior who has attended the tailgates since freshman year. “It really gets everyone pumped up for the game and ready for the 12th-man factor we give the football team.”

- Who can go? Everyone.
- Where is it? By the tennis courts.
- When is it? Every home game at 5:15 p.m.
- How can you help out? Sign up for food or drinks in Sissy Johnson’s room, A7.
- Bring your own lawn chair and have fun.
- Go to Mustang Walk at 6:45 p.m.
