The exciting win against Lewisburg, the opening game blow-out against Manassas, and a close win against Horn Lake High have highlighted the first five weeks of Mustang varsity football. The team’s record is 3-2.
The defense has been lead by juniors Devonta Street with 62 tackles and Bryce Evans with 30 tackles in the last five games. Senior quarterback Danterius Ellington has racked up impressive statistics with 994 total passing yards and 497 yards in rushing.
In addition, senior wide receiver Jonathan Weeks has a total of 434 receiving yards in the last five games. The next home games are October 9 against West Point, which is homecoming, and then on October 30, the Mustangs play Oxford, so make plans to be there!
