The class of 2026 voted in new class officers, and campaigning paid off for the following sophomores: Monica Reeves, Paige Sims, Madeline Fowler, and Gabrielle Tabor.
President Monica Reeves.
Voted sophomore class president, Monica Reeves ran for class officer because she thinks highly of her peers. “I truly do believe that my class is amazing,” explained Reeves, “ and I wanted to take part in increasing our opportunities and experiences.”
Driven and motivated in whatever she does, Reeves is also a member of Select Women’s Chorus, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Interact Club, and Student Council. Although she juggles a lot, she doesn’t think it will detract from her job as class president. “I don’t want my classmates to worry about whether or not they are a part of my main focus.”
Reeves wants to use her position to find a way to make a real difference within her class. “I hope to raise school involvement and make the rest of high school a great experience for my fellow students.”
Vice President Paige Sims.
Dedicated to making the class of 2026’s high school years memorable, Paige Sims strives to support the other class officers and contribute to the overall success of her class.
Cheerleader and member of Mu Alpha Theta, she wants her peers to know she is ready for it all. “They picked the right candidate to represent our class,” Sims explained. “I am passionate about change, and I will do everything in my power to make sure that our class has a successful year.”
For Sims, inspiration comes from home. “My aunt and my mother inspire me to keep on working towards my goals, even if things don’t go as planned.”
Secretary Madeline Fowler.
Sophomore class secretary, Madeline Fowler, better known as Maddie to her peers, is a part of Select Women’s Chorus, MustangTV, The Pony Express, Yearbook, Mu Alpha Theta, Beta Club, Interact, and Student Council.
“I ran for sophomore class officer to build a good reputation for our class,” explained Fowler, “and to expand my leadership skills.”
As secretary, she intends to work hard to represent the sophomores well and help plan events for her peers.
Reporter Gabrielle Tabor.
Part of Mu Alpha Theta, Beta Club, Interact, tennis, and track, sophomore class reporter Gabrielle Tabor is excited to represent.
Tabor chose to run for this position because she loves creating digital content, and she hopes to use these skills to help her class at school events, games, and more.
After high school, Tabor plans on attending college to become an accountant and earn a degree in business management.
