Paige Brick is Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Pony Express for 2019-2020. She is a senior and has been on staff for three years. She is also involved in the Select Women’s Choir, Mustang Television and inkstained literary magazine. She’s always loved writing so joining The Pony Express was an easy decision. She loves being able to report the news to the CHHS population.

Bill Hatch hands Gus Lockett the contents of Locketts locker on April 28, the first of two drive-thru locker clean out days at CHHS for seniors. Seniors will also be able to return library books and textbooks on April 30. There will be designated times for all students to drop off books and retrieve personal items May 4-8.

According to cdc.gov, A novel coronavirus, named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, China in 2019. The illness caused by this virus has been named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In response to the pandemic and to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Mississippi, all public schools are closed through at least April 17.
